D-Arabinose 5-phosphate is an intermediate in biosynthesis of lipopolysaccharide.
It is reversibly converted to D-ribulose 5-phosphate by arabinose-5-phosphate isomerase (EC 5.3.1.13). [HMDB]. D-Arabinose 5-phosphate is found in many foods, some of which are summer savory, black walnut, fruits, and oregon yampah.
