IUPAC 名称
{[(3S,4S,5R)-3,4,5,6-tetrahydroxy-2-oxohexyl]oxy}phosphonic acid
描述
D-tagatose is a stereoisomer of D-fructose, which is phosphorylated to D-tagatose-1-phosphate by fructokinase in the liver. Slow degradation rate of D-tagatose-1-phosphate, cause accumulation, and ingested D-tagatose may therefore cause a longer lasting reduction in inorganic phosphate (Pi) and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) levels in the liver compared with D-fructose. It is also seen in patients with hereditary fructose intolerance, this may increase purine nucleotide degradation and thereby increase uric acid production. (PMID: 11079825) [HMDB]
