6b-Hydroxymethandienone is a metabolite of the androgen metandienone metabolite, excreted in the urine. Metandienone has been used in horse doping and by weightlifters and body builders. It is of note to consider that the use of anabolic steroids for an extended period of time reduces the excretion of endogenous metabolites, making the detection of doping a little more difficult.
