Imperatorin is a furocoumarin and a phytochemical that has been isolated from Urena lobata L. (Malvaceae). It is biosynthesized from umbelliferone, a coumarin derivative. Imperatorin is found in many foods, some of which are fruits, lovage, root vegetables, and parsley.
