Isolated from Cicer arietinum (chickpea), Myroxylon balsamum (Tolu balsam), Pisum sativum (pea) and Trifolium pratense (red clover). 9-O-Methylcoumestrol is found in many foods, some of which are chickpea, common pea, green vegetables, and herbs and spices.
