Isolated from Riesling grapes. Constituent of Rosa damascena bulgaria (damask rose variety) and Vitis vinifera (wine grape). 2-Phenylethyl beta-D-galactopyranoside is found in many foods, some of which are herbs and spices, green vegetables, fruits, and alcoholic beverages.
