Reputed pungent principle of ginger (Zingiber officinale). Flavour material used in imitation fruit flavours, ginger beer, ginger ale etcand is also present in cranberry, raspberry and mango. Zingerone is found in many foods, some of which are pot marjoram, fruits, ginger, and herbs and spices.
