Guthion
目标名称
Acetylcholinesterase
作用机理
Guthion and its reactive metabolite, gutoxon, directly effect the nervous system by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in the central and peripheral nervous system. Gutoxon reacts with a serine hydroxyl group at the active site of AChE, rendering it largely unreactive. Thus acetylcholine accumulates in the neuromuscular juntions of cholinergic nerves, causing continual stimulation of electrical activity by both muscarinic and nicotinic receptors. Gutoxon has been shown to be the more potent inhibitor. (L580)
