Parathion
目标名称
Acetylcholinesterase
作用机理
The active metabolite of parathion, paraoxon, inactivates acetylcholinesterase by phosphorylating the active site of the enzyme, thus inhibiting its activity in the nervous system and at the motor end-plate. As a result, the neurotransmitter acetylcholine accumulates in the nerve synapse or neuromuscular junction, producing overstimulation of cholinergic end organs. (L634)
