Patients with the CC genotype (also known as CYP3A4 *1/*1) had increased dose-adjusted concentrations of carbamazepine as compared to those with the CT or TT (CYP3A4 *1/*36 or *36/*36 (formerly *1/*1G or *1G/*1G)) genotype, as well as increased dose-adjusted concentrations of the carbamazepine metabolite carbamazepine-10,11-epoxide (CBZE). Please note alleles have been complemented to the plus chromosomal strand. PharmVar reassigned *1G to *36.
