The study contained a discovery sample and a replication sample, and also did a meta-analysis of the two samples together. Response is defined as patients whose mini-mental state examination (MMSE) points increased, remained stable, or the delta MMSE fell by 1 or less. Non-responders were defined as worsening of >3 points on the MMSE. Please note alleles have been complemented to the plus chromosomal strand, and that this SNP did NOT reach genome-wide significance in any of the samples.
